Horses are meant to spend 70% of their time grazing and foraging for exaclty what their bodies need. Horses are self regulating creatures, so when they need something nutritonally, they go find it. unfortunatly we have drastically reduced variety in our hay and pasture through weed control and dry lotting. for this reason healthy diets have to include some supplemental feeding.
